Subject: Applications for the American Journal of Transplantation (AJT) Editorial Fellowship are now open.

The AJT Editorial Fellowship program offers a year-long editorial experience in the publication and peer-review process for fellows and junior faculty in transplant-related fields.

Participants will have the opportunity to work directly with AJT editors and staff to gain experience as reviewers, as well as collaborate with Deputy and Social Media editors.

Commitment: Fellows are expected to devote 2–3 hours per week to the program. Fellows will meet at least monthly with the lead editor for their rotation.

Timeline: The fellowship runs from the 2026 American Transplant Congress (ATC) through the 2027 ATC. Fellows will be invited to the 2026 annual AJT Editorial Board meeting, where they will be introduced to the journal team and editorial processes.

Eligibility

-Clinical Track: Applicants must be AST/ASTS members who are either current fellows, anticipated to matriculate in an accredited transplant fellowship within three months of the ATC, or faculty within three years of their initial appointment.

-Basic Science Track: Applicants must be AST/ASTS members in a senior fellow or assistant professor position.
