Virtual AST Fellows Symposium on Transplantation 2020

In exciting news, the American Society of Transplantation-led Fellows Symposium will be going virtual this year!  The program will run Thursday, September 24th & Friday, September 25th, 11:00 am – 4:45 pm EST.

There will be four 1 and 1.5 hour-long sessions each day that will be live and moderated. There will also be smaller, more interactive sessions. All sessions will be recorded and posted afterwards. There will also be an opportunity for networking at the beginning of the meeting along with breakout sessions and a sponsor lounge.

As part of the virtual meeting, there will also be the opportunity to participate in the UNOS SimUNet Study.

Fellows, residents, trainees, and pharmacists who meet the eligibility criteria below can register to attend the Fellows Symposium:

Eligibility criteria:

  1. Must be a fellow, resident, trainee, or pharmacist (PharmD)
  2. Must submit a letter of recommendation from their Program Director. Click here to see the requirements for the recommendation letter. 
  3. Must submit a current CV.

There is no fee to attend this meeting. The preliminary program can be found here and includes the basic science of transplantation, immunosuppressive medications and complications, management of post-transplant complications, and antibody-mediated injury.

It is ideal for trainees planning a career in transplantation medicine, surgery or research!
