The University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB) CRRT Academy will be held on November 4th and 5th, 2020 at the Hilton Hotel at UAB, 808 20th Street S, Birmingham, AL, 35205. The preliminary conference program is available here:
This year, a hybrid platform will consist of both a live meeting and a virtual component on Zoom (Live seating is limited to 40 this year). Attendees can register for the live or virtual venue at the link at the bottom of this email. 5 travel awards will be given – find the application below:

The hotel has taken the appropriate precautions for social distancing. Masks and hand sanitizer will be provided for those attending the meeting live at the hotel. There will be camera/video capability to show the CRRT devices and simulations. All participants, even those live, will be asked to bring a device for viewing lectures on Zoom so they can participate in the Zoom polling and breakout rooms.
On Day 2, a session will be on Special Dialytic Considerations for COVID-19 Pandemic.

$350 for Attending Physicians
$250 for Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants. and Pharmacists
$175 for All Trainees
VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION:
$100 for virtual attendees
Conference consists of CRRT didactics and interactive CRRT device workshops and cases, as well as a new pre and post-test. Five $500 travel grants are available for fellows in training on a first-come first serve basis and requires a letter from the program director. One letter per institution. Instruction Form for travel grant and registration are attached. Awards will be paid on the 2nd day of the conference.
Travel grant information is attached as well as the tentative conference outline/agenda. Some changes may be made as we work out the virtual platform. All travel grant recipients must register.
