The University of Alabama at Birmingham is hosting the Annual Home Dialysis Academy at the University Campus from January 22-24, 2020. The Home Dialysis Academy is focused on providing a structured course on home modalities, which includes didactic lectures, interactive sessions, small group sessions and practical workstations.
The course attempts to augment the knowledge of home modalities that fellows attain during the fellowship training, and gives them a platform to learn specifics like finances of dialysis, dosing on home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, as well as troubleshooting.
Previous attendees have included fellows from multiple training institutes across the nation, as well as private practice nephrologists.

A limited number of travel grants of $250 will be available on a first come first serve basis.
The program has been endorsed by the International Society of Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) and is offered to all Nephrology Fellows/Programs in the United States.
